The construct validity of the main student selection tests for medical studies in Germany

Standardized ability tests that are associated with intelligence often used for student selection. In Germany two different admission procedures to select students medical studies simultaneously; the TMS and HAM-Nat. Due this simultaneous use of both a detailed analysis construct validity is mandatory. Therefore, aim study validation selection by using data 4,528 participants ( M age = 20.42, SD 2.74) who took part in preparation under low stakes conditions. This compares model specifications within correlational structure factors as well g-factor consistency tests. Results reveal all subtests correlated substantially. Furthermore, confirmatory factor analyses demonstrate (and their subtests) related g further test-specific-factor. from psychometric point view, appears be legitimate.
